By renting equipment from Galway Rafting, you agree to these Terms & Conditions. This agreement is governed by the laws of Ireland, with the place of jurisdiction being Galway.
The use of our rafting boats and other sports equipment is entirely at your own risk. Galway Rafting disclaims any liability for accidents or injuries that may occur during the use of the equipment. You are fully responsible for any damage, loss, or costs related to the equipment, including repair, replacement, and loss of earnings. It is your responsibility to ensure adequate insurance coverage.
Rafting carries inherent risks. By participating, you acknowledge these risks and agree that Galway Rafting, its owners, employees, and affiliates are not liable for any injury, death, or loss of personal property.
Galway Rafting does not permit hen or stag parties on any "Public Rafting Trips" the must book "Private Trips". Any group found to be part of a hen/stag party booking Public Rafting Trips will have their booking canceled without a refund.
There is no fishing allowed from any of our rafts under any circumstances.
6.1 - Identification: A valid Photo I.D. is required.
6.2 - Mobile phone in a waterproof case: We can not guarantee that our containers are watertight, we suggest that all phones be kept in water proof cases. We assume no responsibility for any water damaged devices.
6.3 - Footwear: All participants must wear suitable enclosed footwear that can get wet. Without appropriate footwear, participation will be refused.
6.4 - Clothing: Wear warm sports clothing, a waterproof jacket, and bring a warm change of clothes and a towel for after the trip.
6.5 - Medication: Each group must bring any medication they may need.
7.1- Substances: Alcohol and drugs are strictly prohibited before and during rafting. Violation of this rule results in immediate termination of the rental without refund and possible legal action.
7.2 - Smoking: Smoking is strictly prohibited on board our rafts.
7.3 - Prohibited Items: No glass bottles, knives, or fishing equipment are allowed on the rafts.
Galway Rafting does not assume responsibility for personal belongings. The responsibility lies with the customer.
9.1 - Service Refusal: We reserve the right to refuse service to any customer.
9.2 - Late Pickup: If equipment is not picked up at the agreed time, we reserve the right to rent it out after one hour. If you arrive more than 30 minutes late, an additional €20 per hour (or part thereof) will be charged.
9.3 - Late Return: All equipment must be returned by the agreed time. Late returns are charged at €50 per hour or part thereof. If equipment is not returned by 1 hour past the agreed time, the police will be informed, and any costs incurred will be charged to the renter.
9.4 - Missed Disembarkation: If a boat misses the disembarkation point, a €50 fee will be charged, plus any fines.
The renter agrees to return the equipment clean and undamaged. Additional fees may apply for cleaning or repairs beyond normal wear and tear.
11.1 - Age Limit: Participants must be over 6 years old.
11.2 - Competence: All participants must be competent swimmers.
11.3 - Supervision: A minimum of two adults per boat is required. Without this, the trip cannot proceed.
12.1 - Customer Cancellations: Must be made at least 3 days in advance to avoid charges. No refunds for cancellations made less than 3 days before the rental.
12.2 - Galway Rafting Cancellations: We may cancel due to unsafe weather or unforeseen circumstances, offering a full refund, voucher or rescheduling.
Galway Rafting is not liable for any failure to fulfill obligations due to causes beyond our control, such as natural disasters or extreme weather.
We reserve the right to amend these Terms & Conditions at any time. The latest version applies to all rentals.
Your privacy is important to us. Personal data collected will be handled in accordance with data protection laws and will not be shared without your consent.
You agree to comply with all local laws and regulations related to rafting and water use.
You agree to only swim in clearly designated areas of the Corrib river where it is safe to do so under supervision.
You agree to indemnify and hold Galway Rafting harmless against any claims arising from the use of the equipment, including legal fees.
By signing and agreeing to our Terms & Conditions, you confirm you have read, understood, and agree to comply with all outlined responsibilities, including ensuring that all participants have watched the safety video.
