How it works
Begin your adventure by making your way to the meeting point, located just 3.5 km from Galway City Centre. Choose to arrive by foot, bus, taxi, or car. If you’re driving, consider parking in the city and using public transport, so your car is waiting at the finish.
What you get
Once you arrive, receive all the necessary equipment, including a white water raft, buoyancy aids, paddles, a waterproof storage for clothes/shoes you wish to keep dry, and a map of the Corrib River.
The journey
Set off on a relaxing journey down the Corrib River, taking in picturesque landscapes and local wildlife along the way. Go at your own pace and enjoy the peace and quiet of the river.
How to find us
Galway Rafting is located 3.5 km from Galway City Centre, making it easy to reach us by foot, bus, taxi, or car. Please note, we’re only on site when bookings are made.

By Foot: It’s a scenic 3.5 km (45-minute) walk from the City Centre.
By bus: take Bus 404 from Eyre Square (Stop 5) to Corrib Village.
From there, it’s a 1.1 km (15-minute) walk.
Buses run every 30 minutes.
By Taxi: A taxi from the City Centre to Dangan Car Park costs around €10, leaving a 500 m (6-minute) walk.
By car: Parking is available at Dangan Car Park, with a 500 m (6-minute) walk to the start.
For the smoothest experience, we recommend parking in the city and using public transport—so your car is waiting at the finish.
Booking Information
All bookings must be reserved online.
Please note that there is a €35 non-refundable processing fee to reserve a boat.
The final remaining payment must be paid in cash on site.
What we recommend to bring
Footwear: We recommend wearing shoes you don’t mind getting wet while rafting.
Waterproof Mobile Phone Case: We suggest each group carry a waterproof case in case a phone is needed for assistance.
First Aid Kit: Please bring a first aid kit, including any medication you may need.
Rafting Attire: Wear warm sports clothing and a waterproof jacket—clothes that can get wet are essential.
After Rafting: Bring a warm change of clothes and a towel.
We are not currently able to offer a changing facility on site, nor can we store your valuables.
